Bộ phim dựa trên tác phẩm cùng tên của Nishi Ishin(Bakemonogatari)
Thợ rèn huyền thoại Shikizaki Kiki đã chế ra 12 thanh kiếm có khả năng làm chấn động lịch sử, khiến một người có thể đánh lại ngàn người.
Shogunate cử Togame đi thu thập chúng về. Ban đầu Togame chỉ là một Ninja làm thuê, nhưng giá trị của những thanh kiếm đã khiến cả môn phái ninja phải thay đổi cách nghĩ. Sau đó cô ấy thuê một kiếm sĩ, nhưng gã kiếm khách lại muốn giữ thanh kiếm làm của riêng.
